Fed: Anu, JPY leave Seven's Popstars
Singer CHRISTINE ANU has quit as a judge on the Seven network's reality program Popstars Live.
The contestants' mentor JOHN PAUL YOUNG has also left the troubled show.
Ms ANU has told producers she is leaving, complaining she's being forced to be harder
on the contestants.
Producer Screentime says it respects Ms ANU'S role in the show so far and wishes her
well in future endeavours.
A Screentime spokeswoman says Universal Music record producer TREVOR STEELE will replace
Ms ANU and work alongside remaining judges MOLLY MELDRUM and SHAUNA JENSEN.
The spokeswoman confirms Mr YOUNG has also left the program but denies he's been sacked.
She says she doesn't immediately know why he left.
Popstars Live has been a ratings flop for Seven, amid a raft of flagging reality shows
on Australian television.
